What do you reckon to David Beckham leaving Real Madrid to go to LA Galaxy and get a mere $250 million over 5 years. I personally think it is absurd for any player to be recieving that much money. I agree that footballers earn their living and that there is a lot of money in the game and this should be represented in their wages but come on, this is just outrageous. He has also apparently taken up acting lessons. Now ill be honest, i find nothing more hilarious than this as the thought of such a monotone man such as beckham acting causes a bit of a giggle. Anyhow just interested in your thoughts on the topic.

To be fair, he gets a lot of bad publicity for everything he does. I dont personally think that he should have gone to the US but i suppose its up to him. Would have loved to see him back in the premiership or go to Milan and play at the top level in the 3 top footballing nations with their respective biggest clubs.
People who do not rate Beckham are merely re-puking what they have ingested through a media onslaught who used him as an easy target for column inches!
Why dont they watch the player before assuming he has no talent?
Im sure most england fans could have kissed him and more when he scored the free-kick vs Greece

i just don't agree with you as i think he's improving in spain. i don't think he's lazy like wat you said. ronadinho is good n so is beckham. they got their own trademark for themselve. see how bad r.madrid performed without him? im not trying to argue but it's the truth that he got the look n also as a player he's always trying to improve himself. hope you don't mind.

He's clearly just doing this transfer for financial purposes or whatever Victoria Beckham brainwashed him into. Living in Hollywood sounds appealing enough for a player who's stopped producing anything ever since he left Manchester anyway, so I guess it's a fair call for him. May he enjoy his dollars.

He wants to change football in America...Wants it to become big...Could this really happen? Could football be one of Americas favorite sport. Haha Beckham is more of an over rated player known world wide. Personally I dont see him having any brilliant skill worth talking about. Oh wait, BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM...hehe maybe just that but almost anyone could bend the ball. He is in it for the money..hehe promoting soccer just comes in second.. $250million..that alot of cash right there...
