1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp water
1 egg 1 cup & 2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking soda 3/4 cup m&m's
cream together shortening,brown sugar,and sugar. add vanilla,water and egg. swift flour and baking soda into the cream mixture. add M & M's stir together. bake at 350 degree for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden brown.

yum this sounds so good. I'm going to try and bake these. it doesn't sound hard but I usually always end up getting carried away doing something else that I forget something. I was wondering can this recipe be changed and use something else instead of shortening? or is it better with the shortening added?
