I used to be scared of watching horror movies when I was younger. I remember after watching a scary movie, when I go to my bed...I cannot go out anymore to use the bathroom or go to the kitchen to drink water. I usually asked my older sister to accompany me. I don't know how did I overcome that fear but now I loved watching scary movies. I love movies and I will watch even the scariest and nastiest! On my opinion, the scariest/creepiest movie that I ever saw was TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 03 version. That movie scared the sh*t out of me. After watching that movies, I can't even eat meat or burger because it reminds me of a persons meat. Nasty! It is also based on true event...that made it me scarier. My second choice is HOSTEL, I think they have part II this year. What's yours?

The Exorcist was really terrifing too. The part that I still have to turn my head away when I watch it is when she stabs herself with the cross in that oh so sensitive area. OUCH!

i never thought the exorcist was really scary...i think suspensful type movies are scarier than ones with blood and gore. the exorcist, although, not bloody, wasn't that scary...don't get me wrong, i jumped a few times and really enjoyed it, but nothing that kept me awake.

When I was a child I saw "It". It creeped me out beyond belief. I couldn't stand to be around clowns and I couldn't step near a clothesline for years because of the opening scene. In recent years the scariest movie for me was a film that came out of the Sundance Film Festival in 05'. It's called "Wolf Creek" and it was made in Australia by an Australian filmmaker. It's based upon two actual serial killers - the director combined the two and made them into one character. It's creepy.

Oh yeah! I've seen that movie too and it's really horrifying. Thinking that it is based from true events scared me the most. Nice choice. IT is really scary too. It made clowns scarier rather than funny.

I don't know whether you guys and gals have ever heard about this movie called "shutter". It's a Thai Horror flick. I am an avid fan of thrillers and horror movies but I gotta admit defeat as Shutter is the scariest movie ever and with a very good storyline to it too. Imagine how scary it is that although I have watched the movie, a few weeks after that I got to watch the making of the movie on TV in broad daylight and it still scares the daylight out of me!!

A South Korean film called Acacia.
It didn't get the greatest of reviews, but there was something about it that disturbed me deep down... I still get the chills when I think of that movie.
Here's a link to a review:

Definitely worth renting!

From the picture itself it looks really creepy and disturbing. Do you know if they have it here...Blockbuster or any video store?

We rented ours from Family Video. Blockbuster might have it... I know their selection varies from store to store.

My boyfriend just rented Saw 3. I watched a bit..but I had my hands over my eyes for most of it...It is the most disgusting and nasty movie I have seen in a while...I really don't know how people like horror movies...this one was really horrible! See it and you will know what I am talking about...

I never really like Saw movies. I tried to watch the first one but it's not scary but nasty! I wasn't able to finish it, I don't like it at all.

"The Bad Seed," 1956. Mom believes that her mom's murderous tendencies were passed on to her seemingly innocent nine-year-old daughter. Patty McCormick gives one of the most sinister performances in horror history. An important precursor to "Psycho."
DON'T U THINK???

I am not familiar with old scary movies but I believed they're more scarier. Most of the scary movies today are patterned from Japanese horrors like The ring, grudge, etc.

I guess I would have to say PSYCHO would be my scariest. It's an old movie and it's not scarey in the classical sense; however, that shower scene just freaked me out. Maybe because I watched it when i was younger and it haunts me. LOL To this day, and I am 36 yrs old, I can't go to bed with teh shower door closed. It has to be opened at all times! I can NOT take a shower with the door closed and then water gets everywhere so I stick with baths unless I am in a hurry and just jump in and then out again.
I find the more psychological a movie is, the scarier it is to me. I agree with HOSTEL being pretty scarey. Maybe since it was so "real". Like it could happen, ya know? THE RING was pretty freaky.
BUT...I LOVE scarey movies so nothing has ever really freaked me out to the point of turning off the tv or anything.
This was a great question. :)
