My guitar is about fifteen years old, it's a Wasburn D10-CE with a di built into the pickup. The problem is, I used the guitar to busk with around a few countries and played it outside a lot. For ten years I never played through an amplifier because I didnt have the opportunity to. Now I am playing solo gigs and when the guitar is plugged in it sounds really terrible! IT has heavy copper strings on it and it sounds fine as an acoustic instrument, but amplified it realy sounds awful. I'm thinking the electronics have died through not really being used for ten years and maybe a couple of dodgy batteries. So the story is I need to either buy a new guitar or to repair the pickup in the Washburn, which has a crack in the side from where it was dropped. So i dn't want to repair it. I don't want to buy a new guitar (I can never choose!), so I've basically decided to give up playing music and become a yak farmer. There aren't many yaks in Australia tho, so I need some specialst advice before I embark on my new life. Where can I get some yaks?
