Are cats psychic?

I have a cat that is always everywhere I'm about to be. He jumps in bed and sits in my spot a couple minutes before I do. He beats me into the bathroom. He's always standing where I need to be and he will stop right under me and just stand there. Do you think cats are psychic?

My husband and I were talking about this over dinner. There are studies going on - mainly with bird because you can teach them to communicate - to find out if animals are in fact psychic. I think it is an interesting concept. I don't think they are psychic but I do think that they ar every sensitive to our needs and emotions and react to such.

My cat does the same thing. She just knows my habits and knows where I'm headed. I love her dearly, but it's annoying sometimes. It's kind of hard to do your business when you've got a cat rubbing against your legs!
