Is there any tricks that you can use when your child gets sick? Right now my son is 3yrs old and he is sick. He is running up to 102 temp and i can't get him to eat anything. I also am having trouble just getting him to drink anything as well. I have tried everything to bring his temperature down. I would take him to the hospital but we don't have any insurance and we have no money. Any suggestions?

If you truly think your child is dangerously ill not having money shouldn't keep you from taking him to the doctor.
Running a cool bath can help, and children tylenol helps lower temperatures. When kids are sick they need a lot of fluids, so you should keep encouraging that. Try pedialyte.

Let him sleep, keep him in a cool situation. His body is fighting off an infection or virus. That is what the high temperature is for. The key is fluids, let him have ice if that will work. I see that it is 7 days later now and am hoping you have more information and he is better by now. Update us!!

Cool baths...popsicles (you can make your own with koolaid or juice! Also, keep him as cool as possible, let him chill in his undies. Make him a smoothie type drink with fruit juice and ice. Anything cool would be a good idea!
