I'm just wondering, what he will decide. If he really loves you, it is always the way. Maybe the way is not good for your understanding now, but it will be good when you understand the way. Sometimes God permits something bad coming unto us, but He still providences us. Pray, seek the informations and prepare for the good or bad. Remember it'll be good for you if God loves you.

Not sure about where what the legal standpoint is but I know of someone that was from Canada and was in the US on a student visa. She got married in the US and has had 2 years of fighting with the INS in Canada and the US to get her a permanent green card (or whatever it's called) since she is now married. She visited in Canada during all of this and they detained her for 2 months and wouldn't let her back in the country. Whatever you do, investigate, investigate, investigate or seek legal counsel. Good Luck!
