Why are religious people learning? It has been a question worrying me for a long time. Why?
We know the fact that science and religions are totally against each other, maybe not totally but most of the time. However, it appears to be that all religious people are studying science, which is astonishing because what have they been doing is basically trying to find a way to against their religions. Christianity, for example, the bible says that God creates the world in 7 days, hopefully I were correct, giving lives to all living things including the humans, us. In contrast, scientists have scientifically proven that Earth, the planet we are living on, was formed around 4.5 billions years ago, life started in Paleozoic Era. According to the Darwinism, all living things will evolve and have been constantly evolving up to day. Theses few facts contradict each other, but why would religious people study science which contradict their religion. If people are religious, they shouldn't be studying any science but those holy texts, and if a religious person believe in God, he/she shouldn't be studying Biology, or any of this kind. They are absolutely against the religions. But, why would they want to study? Do they really believe in God? or It is just an iPod effect?
Now, almost everybody owns an iPod, it's become a trend. Because everybody says that iPod is so cool, and they won't care about its care price and functions. Because everybody has one, and seemingly if you don't have one, you are out of date although there are some Mp3 Players that are better and have a cheaper price. That's people. I believe that religions are just like this iPod effect which one tries to convince another and so and forth. That is, people have lost their own determination that they don't necessarily know what they are doing but simply just following what everybody's doing and hoping to be favored by God. I would say this because I want every religious people ask themselves a few questions and hope that they can answer: Do you really believe in God? What makes you believe in God? Is it because of the influences from people around you? If your family does not believe in any religion, would you be like right now?
Last thing I want to say is that religions are not bad, and actually they are perfect because they help poor people, and it is the church people who are helping instead of the God. SO, to me, God does not exist because God has done nothing, and if he does do something, it will be ruining our home, making it even worse for the poor people while rich people enjoying their happy lives.
If God explains everything, what is the point of your life? Your fate has already been decided, accordingly.
If you believe in deciding your own fate, what is the point of God? Everything is in your hands, and nothing can stop you.
