Manager's problem

I am intrusted in knowing what kind of problems managers face... And how do they solve those problems... Manager is consider as some kind of a super hero in books that the manager should behave like this and he/she should do that... What i am intrusted in knowing that is that true whatever is writen in the books about the managers...
Is manager like a superhero and manage everything or he have some problems which he cant solve...

There r thousands of managers but the question is r they really good ones? now when i say good ones i mean a successful manager in terms of his field (what ever is required from him) successful with himself, happy in doing what he is doing and if the people around him r happy to work under him?
& trust me its very very difficult to keep everyone happy, there r small things & office politics, difficult to tackle, keep the employees motivated, keep the goal in mind. it all seems easy ke he sits on his office but it is not.
