How do you choose your profession?

I am currently taking up accountancy but I am confused if this is really what I want. I start to question myself everytime I experience hardships during exams. Maybe I really want to be a doctor. Both my parents are doctors and I think this is interesting. I just thought I could not handle being responsible with the life of a person. How did you choose your profession?
