I agree. Everybody needs white lies in order for him/her to be accepted in the society. I think people that are too honest will later on be rejected by the society, not because they are bad, but because they are just tad too honest..

Being honest all the time may sometimes get you into trouble with people who can't accept the truth. but this is the challenge for us christians and it is because of a bigger motivation. that even though we are not popular, we live as free as we want to be because we dont hide away from the truth.

Yeah. Too much honesty WILL get one into trouble. There are small things in life that can be overlooked for things to go smoothly. =)

Lying is possibly the worst habit you can pick up. Once you start its pretty much like smoking you just can't stop. It seems one lie told isn't enough then you'll probably have to tell another lie to cover it up. And when the person does find out you've lied they end up never being able to trust you again. Once trust is lost its lost for good.

I agree, too. Lies and trust can never co-exist with each other. It's just that there are times when one has to be tactful and polite rather than being blunt and frank. =)

I for one find it really hard to lie to people. Im terrible at acting. But if my life depended on it, i might probably sacrifice that bit of honesty and try to put up a good show with a lie. It usually backfires though.lol. The worst things when you have to cover your lies with more and more lies till you actually forget what the initial point of it all was. I would rather lie than hurt people.
So in conclusion, lying is sort of bad. But on the other hand, not tellin the whole truth might come in handy many-a-times. So, i guess everybody would agree that honesty is the best policy.. as long as it doesnt get you into a fix.

Same here. My friends tell me that I am not good at lying. You would figure it out almost instantly. I agree in what you said that being hoonest sometimes hurts people. Sometimes it is just better to shut up than hurt people by telling the truth. =)

Isn't that a Jim Carrey movie? If that's what you're talking about, I've seen it and its so hilarious. "Honesty is not ALWAYS the best policy" is written all over that movie. =)

Always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. It can builds a foundation for all other aspects of character. It establishes your personal integrity and becomes the cornerstone for your lasting rlationship.
