Is it because of my encouragement or it's her will to end up her life?

It has been years when my friend commited suicide but until now, it's still fresh in my memories... I was thirteen years old that time when we had a boarder in our house who became also my friend..almost all weekdays that we're together for we study in the same school.Every weekends, she always go home to get her allowance and early Monday morning if not Sunday evening, she comes back..One time, she came back late Sunday and she doesn't looks good so I asked her why..she said she got problem with her father and mother..the mother got another live-in partner thus making the father angry..she also made mentioned that she's about to commit suicide that day but then her brother arrived so she just dropped the bottle of the pesticide..i didn't believe her with what she said because she's laughing after telling me the story..in return, what I did was I take it as a joke (the suicide story) and told her, the next time you do that, don't drop it..you drink instead and the two of us laugh.. A week after, I was surprised for she didn't come as her regular arrival..I just ignored it thinking she'll come by Monday early morning..The following day, i went to school and I found out that she didn't attend her class..after my morning class, I decided to go home..along the way, I met one of her relative and she told me that my friend didn't come because she commited suicide that night..she drank pesticide little by little so when they brought her to the hospital, she's DOA.. Could it be that it is really her will or she was just challenge with the encouragement i gave her?
