There are a few different kinds of dandruff, you can look them up on wikipedia. Depending on what kind you have (and it can be hard to tell) you should use a different kind of shampoo. I use Selsun salon but it depends on the person. You could also talk to a doctor about it next time you get a checkup.

that used to be my problem..
what i did was, use all the dundruff shampoo alternately.. after shampooing my hair, i put conditioner on it so that it will be thoroughly cleansed.. you know, sometimes, dundruff still stick to hair follicles..
if that one does not work, try being bald [if you are a guy].. if your hair is naturally beautiful, it will grow back just like before.. your dundruff might destroy your hair, do not scratch too much, your hair may be damaged..

As I am also a Pakistani I can help you out.Actually I also was suffering frome severe Dandruff, then I went to Imam Clinic (hospital at 5-star,North Nazimabad) I think if you are in Karachi you should have seen or heard about this hospital,so the doctor there gave me some tablets and a shampoo type substance I don't know it's nature but it's name is STIEPROX,I used it for a month and within a month the problem was solved so,I prefer you to go to a Skin Specialist for an early solution, you can even use Head & Shoulders (BLACK)

Hey its simple use a hair color Loreal is good if its too much to work around with go to a parlor and they will do it for you, or else just forget what people say it shouldn't make a difference because you are what you are. I don't think that the foods you eat have much to do with it, and genetics is probably the main culprit.

I will try to help because i was having this problem years ago and now i am able to control it. Someone helped me to scratch it with an hair pin then apply lemon juice; leave t for about 1 hour. wash it...
but the most important thing that my beautician told me; each month use a different shampoo. do not stick to only 1 shampoo ok?
Hope this will help!!!
