The very first thing you look for in a partner

Just wondering what is the very first thing that each of you look for in a partner? That if he/she doesn't have it then you know for a fact that it's not going to work or there is no chance for a relationship.
I personally wanted a guy who knows how to communicate (listens very well and is open about anything and everything under the sun).
How bout you?

Brains. She has to have brains to even make it on my radar. Yeah, beauty is usually what attracts me but when I meet a potential partner, I listen to how she speaks and what she is saying. I also look into her eyes to see if there's intellect and sincerity in them. As soon as I see her "brain", I'm hooked.

for me personally aside from looks i guess she should have a sense of humor and intelligent. ofcourse very kind and understanding. honest!

i was supposed to say "brains" too but now that i think about it... my #1 would have to be "maturity!" but i guess you could say both go together :) i think having a relationship with someone who's not mature (or if you guys are not on the same wavelength)... that happened to me before and it was very stressing... you wouldn't believe how much younger you'd look if you're with a mature man! :)
so yeah... that would top my list... equal to brains :)
