A lot of the stuff I need for cosmetics, comes from a health food store, and from there you can order books and magazines on how to make certain things! It sounds like you won't have any problem making things, you've got it covered! Thanks for your response!

There's really too much detail to go into, like soaking hard cherry candies in rum till they desolve, adding natural sugars, flavors, boiling down the mixture, adding secret ingreadients to the mix, forming the drops, hardening time, using marachino cherry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, etc. etc.. So I'll just have to say: thanks for your reply!

I've been broke most of my life, so I had to learn how to MAKE what I couldn't afford to buy! Also I am allergic to some products, so that's another reason I had to make my stuff where I wasn't allergic to the ingredeients. (can't spell worth a darn)! in- gread- e- unts, you know what I am trying to spell!

I make my own aromatherapy oils sometimes. And I have made clothes, but not for myself. I would love to be able to make my own everything but I just don't have the time or the patience. Well, I have the patience to make stuff but not to tidy up after myself!

Yeah, I know what you mean! I have 30 cats trying to mess up my stuff, so I HAVE to tidy up everything before going to bed cause if I don't there might be something the cats could hurt them selves on, or chock on, or what ever! Lordy, just once I wish I could just leave everything as is and go to bed without worrying about those darn cats!

Sometimes I make my own clothes, I've sewn for years. I've never made my own soap or cosmetics though. You MUST share with us how you make your own rum cough drops though, I think that would come in handy this winter!

I make just about everything I need: shampoos, face creams, chap sticks, cosmetics, clothes, soaps, tooth pastes, candles, hair gels, gloves, skin creams, cleaning aids, cough syrups, cough drops etc. I really wanted to know if others did the same things or am I the only oddball!! Thanks for your reply!

I often make my own soaps (I love olive oil!) and I make candles and whatever accessories are "in" at the moment, like scarves or beaded jewellery. I would *love* your recipe for cough drops, if you wouldn't mind! (It's that time of year again...) We could make a trade, if you wish!
Oh yeah, I also make my own bread-with the help of my breadmaker, of course. :)

I'd love to give you my recipe for the Rum cough drops but I don't have any perticular recipe for them, they come out slightly dirrerent every time, I really should write my stuff down, but I don't, it's all hit or miss for me! A little of this and a little of that, if they are too soft, I add some of that, if they are too sticky, I add some of this, so I really don't have a recipe. If you go back to my comment on number 5, it'll give you some idea of what is involved, and I forgot to mention on there about the waxed paper sprinkled with corn starch that you drop the liquid drops on to. Sorry, wish I could be of help. Health food stores have lots of books and magazines on how to make just about anything you want, that's where I learned how to do a lot of stuff! Again, sorry and thanks for your reply!

I have been making my own envelopes...
Why you ask....
I bought a big box of cards from a garage sale...over a thousand, wasn't until I got them home I realized there was no envelopes...a neighbour of mine that I gave some t started making the envelopes as they are a weird shape so I made her an actual template and they took an A4 size paper exactly so then I got the idea of printing what I liked as in funny photo on them and they turned out so good...

I make my own clothing and incense. I like to create weird clothing and wear it out. At least I never have to worry that someone will have what I am wearing. LOL
