How? why is it that bassist of today still listen and study his style of playing? i could identify some reasons. the likes of: his fantastic groove, his his tone quality, choice of notes, and maybe even his stage presence.

I am wondering the same thing, he is a fenominal bassist and i have been trying to figure out how to play his stuff for years and everytime i listen to him i just don't understand how its done, same with victor wooten and les claypool, they are also some of the greatest bassists ive heard and if you havn't heard them i suggest you check em out

victor is one of those young bassist who is starting a new wave of techniques. he is really good. i love listening to Marcus Miller and Abraham Laboriel, who by their own rights earned the respect of musician bassists and musicians as a whole around the world. i still have to listen to claypool.
