New to mylot....

I just joined mylot two days ago, and have been reading alot of discussions and replying to them, but I have been seeing alot of the whole friends thing on here. How do you make friends on here? Do you just click on them to be your friend? Or do you need to really get to know them before being a friend? Someone please help me, and also if anyone would want to be my friend :) please let me know I love meeting new people.

I am totally new, but I am sure that if you identify people who share similar interests and seem nice, then go for it.

I think you have the right idea. If you notice that a user starts discussions that interest you, or if a user has similar interests set up that you do, you can send him or her a friends request. It's different for everyone - some people just want to add as many friends as possible and they accept all requests. Other people are more selective. I like to stick with accepting friends that start discussions that I will respond to, because I like to use the "discussions my friends have started" link.
