DENTIST How Do You Feel about Going

I hate going to the dentist. Previously i have had very bad experiences with a dentist where he had put the root canal very carelessly and had a very bad pain and suffered from it a lot and had to ultimately remove that tooth and after that i will try to avoid going to the dentist for the maximum.

i only usually go to dentist to have my teeth cleaned before. but just like you, i'm in my point in life where i need my dentis to take extra care of my teeth. i had molars pulled and some teeth filled. and now, i need to get to have one of my tooth undero a root canal. i hate it. but i need to do it.

I hate the dentist. I am terrified of going. I hate needles therefor I hate shuts. I hate the numb sluggish feeling afterwards. I hate hearing about root canals, drilling, and pulling teeth - cutting gums. It freaks me out to no end. I have to go tomorrow for a consultation and xrays and then Monday I am having all of my wisdom teeth out. It's scary - terrifying - but not coming soon enough. The bottom left wisdom tooth started throbbing last night and has not stopped since!

I am so scared to go to the dentist even when it just for a regular cleaning appointment I had a tooth bother me for a while and they did lots of stuff to it like drilling, capping, and they wanted to do a root canal but the pain was terrible now ever time i have to go to the dentist i literally make make myself sick worrying about it !!!

I hate having to go to the dentist and only go when I absolutely have no other choice. I hate having someone's hands in my mouth. I don't care that they have gloves on,still hate it. I can't stand the sounds or the smells of a dentists office. My dentist is actually a pretty nice guy and his assistant is nice too but still I can't stand going and having work done.

I dont mind it that much. My problem was I didnt have dental insurance before but I do now. And I had to pay out of my pockett and that gets expensive. but I will soon have to what your doing.

I HATE THE DENTIST!!! *weeping* Ok, I have a wisdom tooth that should have been pulled almost 4 years ago ... but I HATE THE DENTIST so instead I just let it go and it pretty much cut a whole in the side of my check lining to make room. Oh, well, it's "healed" now. I have a filling that fell out a year ago and it still hasn't been fixed, because I HATE THE DENTIST. Now it's getting to the point where I realize that I have to go ... and one of my daughters needs to go, but I want go with her at the same time because I will cry. I always cry at the dentist, even if it was for a cleaning (which hasn't happened in 4 years at least). So I don't want to freak her out, so this will be a visit for her and her daddy!

I don't really care to go but it is needed. I don't like when they get that scrape thing and pull in between the teeth. It just really gets to me.

I hate going to the dentist, i think that its a horrible site where i feel very bad moments but unfortunately we must going to the dentis almost once a year in order to prevent some problems in our teeth, have a nice day on mylot and happy earnings also.

I hate going to the dentist. I was traumatized by my childhood dentist. Now I am paying the price. I have to have all my teeth out and get dentures. I don't look forward to that for sure.

Oh man, I have such a fear of the dentist. I am not sure that I've ever actually seen one, outside of the teeth check that we had at school as kids. I mean, just the idea of going to the dentist is so very scary! And I do have some problems with my teeth. The good thing (or I hope that it's good, lol) is that I haven't really had any bad toothaches or any real pain yet. My mother is the same way. She has had a lot happen to her teeth, but she rarely gets any pain. I am hoping that things stay this way, because I don't really want to have to go to the dentist unless something really dire happens and I have no other choice. Good luck with your extensive dental work! I'm sorry that you have to go through it :( I just don't like doctor visits in general, and people for some reason do seem to have more of a fear of the dentist than other types of doctors, and I'm not sure why.

I love the dentist. Seriously, as long as there nothing wrong and going only for a check up.

Actually,I've gone to the dentist myself today.what a coincidence that discussion came up. I feel I need to go to my dentist for regular check up of my teeth. I was a scaredy cat when it comes to rooting a canal but now I'm not.

Yesterday I saw a child 12 years old. He always threw tantrums when going to the dentist when he was little so his parent stop taking him. I asked his dad when he had his first molar pulled because I did not see it. His dad said he has never had a tooth pulled ever. Yes, The tooth had disintegrated down to the bone and now the bone was infected. The parent was clueless. He came in, in pain late on a saturday the day before memorial Day Holiday. I knew he was terrified because he was cold and sweaty. but I also knew he was in pain because the let me give hime all the shots with tears stream from his eyes. It took me 45 minutes to fish out the three root tips. I think that was a pretty bad experience for the kid. It's a self fullfilling prophecy if you imagine the pain and image of the dentist pulling your teeth, you avoid it. The eventually it will happen to you.

I am afraid going to the dentist. I am afraid of them. hahaha.

I don't mind going to dentist! As far as I know my dentist like me, she said that I'm too brave unlike her other client. It does hurt sometimes but it doesn't bother me that much. I'm trying to have a crown soon.

i really dislike when they have to drill in my teath. that sound is also freaking horrible
