Do you know what songs you want played at your funeral? I know, odd topic, but I have picked mine. The one by Dr. Hook, called Spirit in the Sky. It's such an upbeat song. I have told all of my friends I want this song played. I don't want people crying at my funeral I want them to remember that I was a happy person and that every time I heard the song Spirit in the Sky I would say that's my funeral song. I want them to remember all the good times we had and all the fun we shared.

Wow! This is an interesting topic because I *do* have a song that I have had in mind that I would want played. I don't think many people do because I ahve talked about this with other friends and they never have a song in mind.
The song you picked is GREAT! I agree that it would be nice for your family to have an upbeat song in mind to remember happy times and think happy thoughts of you when they hear that song.
The song I would want played is not quite as "happy" but I love it and I think it is meaningful. It's "In my Life" by the Beatles.
Here's a link to listen to it in case you can't recall this song:

"I come to The Garden" written in 1913 by C. Austin Miles, and it is based on the text from John 20:11-18 and "Amazing Grace" by John Newton a former captian of slave ship are some of the songs I would want sang at my funneral.
