Mine is definitely: I'll follow you into the dark (or Brothers on a hotel bed). Amazing album, that latest one, what do you think?
What's your favourite of this band?

Isn't that the one where Ben is sitting on the bed in the otherwise empty room and there's a big black hole in the floor? That one is neat.

"A Lack of Color", as sad a song as it is. I love the heartbreakingly simple but honest lyrics. And also because it reminds me of rainy days and late nights and of longing for certain people which sounds really sad I know, but which I like doing sometimes. And doesn't always make me sad anyway.
I also have to mention, "Transatlanticism" by the way. The first time I listened to it and heard the line, "I need you so much closer" over and over, I was rendered speechless. This song is just amazing. I can't even really articulate how powerful and meaningful this song is to me, and for a lot of other people too I'm sure.

Thanks for your reply. Transatlanticism was one of the best of that year to me!

WOW. This is such a tough question because they are my favorite band and I love all of their music, past and present. I'd have to say some of my favorites include the older "A Lack of Color," "Scientist Studies," and "405" as well as the more recent "Soul Meets Body," "Summer Skin" and "Your Heart is an Empty Room." Their lyrics have so much meaning and can elicit such a range of emotions and the lead singer's voice is haunting yet sweet.

Seriously? Okay let's try to keep this list short
Champagne from a Paper Cup
Styrofoam Plates
A Movie Script Ending
Why You'd Want to Live Here
Company Calls
What Sarah Said
Transatlanticism
Soul Meets Body
Brothers on a Hotel Bed
I Will Possess Your Heart
Given what I have to choose from, I think that's a pretty short list

I really love I'll Follow You into the Dark. I think it ties as my favorite with Soul Meets Body. I hate it when my favorite songs from a band are usually the most famous, but I can't help it.

that's tough. I will say " I will follow you into the dark" is right up there. It has the perfect mix of sweet sadness. I love it.

I just love A Lack of Color. The lyrics is so vague and it's well put-together. It's warm, it's relaxed and it's just beautiful.

There are several off of Transatlanticism that I'm having a tough time deciding between. However, if I had to choose only one, I'd probably pick "Passenger Seat".
I also love "Movie Script Ending" off of The Photo Album.
My favorite off of Plans is "Marching Bands of Manhattan" (although "I'll Follow You into the Dark" is also a gorgeous song, and comes in a close second).

Even though I love just about every song they've ever done, my two favorites have to be Summer Skin and Soul Meets Body.
Summer Skin is probably the perfect song.

I love A Lack Of Color, it's amazing. It chills me out so much, it's lovely.
I also love Transatlanticism, I Will Follow You Into The Dark, Champagne From A Paper Cup, Soul Meets Body, The New Year, Someday You Will Be Loved.. I love most songs from their Transatlanticism and Plans albums to be honest! Lovely.
