Help regarding laptop processor?

Yesterday i thought of buying a laptop. I was getting quite a bit of discount. I called one of my friend and ask about the processor. This guy being a computer engineer had suggested me that i should not buy laptop with "Celeron" processor. He told me it develops much heat, even so much that it would be difficult for me to keep it on my lap. I did buy laptop and discount is there for six more days. What do u guy think by "Celeron"? Does it really produce this much of heat? If yes what by "Cenrino".
