I loved it at first. My doctor told me if I didn't want to have a period to put it in every three weeks instead of using it for three weeks and then taking a break for a week to have a period. I have been using it every three weeks to avoid a period. Now I am having a period during the three weeks and it's pretty heavy. Have you tried it? Have you had problems with it? Please list all the pros and cons you have experienced.

that is because you are NOT supposed to use it to skip your period every month ... if you do that your body can become resistant to it.... and fyi it may not work as well now that you've done it so long that your body is having a period out of cycle with it.... my best advice is SWITCH birth control..... if youstay on nuvaring now it may not keep you from getting pregnant
i was on nuva ring and fyi even without skipping periods the nuvaring would normally lighten your period and shorten it too..... even compared to when on regular birth control pills or even Yaz

I have tried it and I love it! Please don't listen to your doctor and do the not having a period thing! Having your period is natural, and there is nothing you can do to avoid it. The only time I've done the putting a new ring in right after 3 weeks is when I went on vacation. It is very healthy for you to have your period, so I would recommend just using it the way it was intended (ring in for 3 weeks, ring out for one) I love it, and have never had any problems or side effects. When I was on the pill, it was aweful and I was always moody. I'm really glad that they came up with this advancment. Please let me know how everything turns out!
