I would assume both, depending on how you use it. I know that honey has a lot of b12 which can aid in loosing weight and making you feel good. B12 is one of the first vitamins you use up when you are stressed out, and if you are chronicly stressed you have probrobly exhusted your adrenal gland and messed up your cortisol which would account for the big tummy. I ramble I know, but it is all connected. I know that I used it when I was a skinny mini and it made me feel better. I am 40 pounds over weight right now, and have not tried putting it in my diet. I gained this weigh due to Lexapro and in less than 9 months at that!... Maybe I should use it and post back to let you know how it worked.,,,,

Using honey instead of sugar in your coffee can save you up to 3 lbs a year(I have no idea where I read it,but it stayed in my mind).Pure honey is much better for the system then sugars or other sweeteners.
It is just like everything else we ingest, moderation. This is what in a normal person will affect the weight most. What energy you put out must be greater than the # of calories taken in.

I don't know that it helps you lose weight, but if you are using it to replace sugar then it certainly can help. Honey is much better to use as a sweetner than sugar. It is natural and less processed. I've been putting it in my oatmeal instead of sugar and it tastes a lot better.

I have never heard that honey will help you to reduce weight but if you eat properly and healthy food and eat your three meals a day and watched the amount you ate , this would help in reducing weight .
