Why are people blamed being political when speaking about global warming?

I have been watching the news and they keep blaming the woman on the weather channel for being political. Why would she be accused of being political if she was just speaking what she believes - which most scientist believe? Is if because Gore is big on Global warming so if you speak of it means you are aginst republicans?
Plus if the big contraversy is because we are not sure if it is the CO2 and other air polution or just a natural cycle - then why would we not just cut down on the air polution to make sure it is not the reason instead of waiting till later and confirming that it is?

Global warming is a fact not fiction, and sholdn't be taken as political. Many people said that Gore made his movie to show that Bush fail on environmental issue.
Global Warming is not political.

Wasn't the recent weather channel thing regarding weather men and women that did not beleive in global warming? And they got fired? I could have sworn you have it backwards. Which is funny in its own right, but w/e.
I believe you are speaking about these stories:

Regarding weathermen that say they don't know any other weathermen that believe in Global warming. You sure you don't have it backwards?

Naw homie - I was talking about Heidi Cullen on the weather Channel. Just look up her name along with global warming and you will find a plethora of information on it. She said that global warming is a man made problem - Maybe I was a little to general with the scientist part but I do believe most scientest - scientest other than meteorolgist - believe in global warming - It seems like weatheman have some kind of pact with one another not to alarm the public with the global warming theory - that is why they were talking so much noise about Heidi Cullen because she said it is man made instead of a natural occurance. Which is why they said she was being political which brings me back to my original question - When Heidi Cullen said that Global Warming was man made - why did they say she was being political?

The link I posted shows other article where the opposite happens, different people though.
It is a political matter, and no, not all scientists agree, particularly that it is man made.

I just read the first article on the link page you gave me above and it talks about Heidi Cullan and how she is challenging the meteorologist about global warming. Did you read the information that you gave me?

It would be so easy to say, "Yes, let's just cut down on the air pollution" and be done with it; but I fear that's a much bigger task than the world is willing to take on at this point in time. Especially in our part of the world where we have become so used to all of the conveniences that we take for granted. I am sorely afraid that as I age, I would be one of the ones to rebel when it comes to giving up my air conditioning. I can cut back on just about everything else; but I think we each have our own "green demons" that we need to hold on to. May the Goddess Bless us All ~Donna

That is a good point - It would be hard to give up air conditioning - Is there other ways to cool a house without pollution???
