- You serve them breakfast before you eat your own.
- You go out of your way to provide for their comfort.
- You don't want to ever think of what you'll do when you lose your cat.
- You can talk endlessly about cats to everyone, including dog lovers.
- You read magazines such as Cat Fancy for tips on how to strengthen your relationship with your cat(s).
- You think about your cats often.
- You have no problem in regarding your cat(s) as your baby (ies).

I definitely do all of the above. And I can add one to the list: You give up your king sized pillow to your cat that has figured out how to stretch far enough to reach all 4 corners of it. I honestly didn't think a cat could stretch THAT far.

I don't read Cat Fancy unless I'm at the vet's. But I do enjoy the magazine. I can definitely relate to feeding them before I eat breakfast. And that nasty smelly canned cat food, I used to tell my boys (Buckwheat & Old Yellow) I'd say you know momma loves you if I can stand to open this can and feed this to you before I get my coffee!! I lost Buckwheat last year, but Old yellow is still here, he's around 7 or 8 yrs. old and we have Simone, a siamese looking stray that was dumped here by his mother when he was tiny. He is beautiful as can be but a little ferrel. But I do love my kitties. I'm a dog lover too, but I love my kitties just as much.

lol...this is SO true!...when i come home, no matter if it's 2 or 6 o'clock, my cat knows it's time for supper...there's nothing else before that..i usually can't even get my coat off..he MUST be given his supper first...then i can do whatever i want..if he goes to sleep on my arm or lap, i won't get up and disturb him for anything..i wait until HE wakes up..i hate leaving him to go to work, and he's the only reason i come home in the evening. he has to sleep touching me, and i can't sleep good unless he's right there snuggling with me...he really is my baby!

Sigh...my Tabitha used to be the same way. She slept in bed with me and in the morning, positioned herself so that her body leaned against my head. After all, it was light outside and she wanted me to get up and feed her breakfast, which I did. She also greeted me when I came home and somehow knew when I had returned from a trip to the supermarket. My two new cats are affectionate, but neither of them will ever match Tabitha's affection and attention. I guess that I had her too long to become used to new cats so soon.

Well I do it all but the magazines or does Mylot count? What would we do without our four legged friends? They give us so much love, attention and determined to drive us crazy at times but they have adopted us. That's right, cats adopt us. We might adopt a dog but cats are just the opposite.
Also something to add to your list, when your cat sleeps on your book more then you get to read it.
