I don't have the patience to stand in line for long periods of time. I have even less patience fighting crowds. I have never needed anything that badly.

Stores usually offer great sales on Black Friday. It's just that the crowds are insane. I don't get up early to go shopping, but I do go browse around the mall to see what looks good.

My one experience with Black Friday was in 2004 when I stood in line at BestBuy electronics starting at 2:30 in the morning. When I got there I was amazed to see that was literally hundreds of people in line ahead of me.
I was there for one item and that's it...a $250 laptop. The way it works at BestBuy at least is that once the doors open, they give a specific number of redemption tags out for their high ticket items. If you aren't fortunate enough to get one of these tags, you are out of luck for that product.
Needless to say, I did not get my laptop, the crowds were unbearable, and I ended up just getting a $5 wireless mouse.
What a waste of time. Ever since there is I wan't something bad enough, I will look online during "Online Black Friday". Most of the same deals are offered online.

it depends on whats on sale. I've been shopping at 5:00 in the morning to get something that I really wanted. To me, its exciting. My husband went with me this year and gripped the whole time. Said he's never going to do that again. But we got my daughter a portable dvd player for $49. and me a new sewing machine for $55. I limit to what I buy for Christmas gifts only. There have been some years that I didn't go.

I attended one Black Friday sale in my life. There I was, in the cold and the dark, at 6 AM, standing in a line that serpentined back and forth but if straight probably would've gone on for a good half mile. In front of a Walmart, all so I could buy two DVD players. Of course, there were PLENTY of the things there and every week between then and Christmas had similar sales going on at more sane hours of the day. I don't believe it was worth it.

I cant say ive ever stood in line all night to get an electronic but I would prefer not to lol. If it was a really good deal and I was guaranteed to get one then I would for sure stand in line. Ive just never really thought about it because I havent really needed anything.

I've never stood in line all night and wouldn't! This year was the first time I'd ever gone shopping on black Friday. All the women in my family went (which they do every year, but I'd never been there on black Friday before) we got up at 3 am and drove 2 hours to where we went shopping, we got back at 2am. There were some great sales but the best part was just having fun with my family.

I tend to get sucked into the black Friday sales! This year we got a 32 inch LCD HDTV at Home Depot for $168 bucks after using a $300 gift card. Not a bad price even if we did not have a gift card. The store only had 10 tv's and we were 8th in line, so we lucked out. I live for the bargains, although I am NOT willing to fight for anything. If I am there and get lucky enough to get something that is on sale then so be it, otherwise no big deal I will get it another time.
