Ughhh! Stupid dog hair all over my clothes! My jacket looks like a fur coat!

How does my dog's fur end up on things that haven't even been in my house yet? It's even in my car and he hasn't been in that either! I am bout to shave him! Does anyone know how to remedy so my dog doesn't shed so much! I have an American bulldog, and his fur is everywhere and sticks to everything. It weaves into my clothes so that even tape can't get it off. I have to use almost a whole roll of my lint roller tape just to leave the house. Aggravating for now, later I will be letting his big head lay in my lap! (duh) LOL
