What's the craziest thing that your child has done?

Our daughter took a permanent marker to our computer's LCD screen. And it was no smal black line. No, she had nearly blackened the entire screen! My wife was furious! I bet you're wondering what we did. Get this: I traced all the lines with a dry erase marker and it all came off in a jiffy! But it was crazy that she used the computer screen as her coloring board! What's the craziest thing that your child has done?

Well, this is a toss up. So I'll just list all I can remember. Our daughter when she was about 8 took a permanent marker and tattooed her whole body. That took awhile to fade away. And another would be when she told our new neighbors that her dad had been arrested for wearing women's clothing. Now that one was funny, I don't think I ever laughed so hard, but my husband didn't seem to see the humor in it. We didn't find out till a couple weeks later when his grandmother called him and asked him when he started wearing women's clothing. It did explain why the neighbors would take off into the house whenever we pulled in and would wave at them. Now my son at age 4 got into the acrylic paints I do crafts with, and painted himself completely blue and red. It came off his body okay, but it stained his hair for a week or so. And then he tried making a grilled cheese in the VCR.

Grilled cheese in the VCR! LMAO! I've never heard that one! That is truly classic! And the women's clothes - that's hilarious. It seems that the humor in such experiences multiplies when you spouse is all straight faced and serious. Bet your husband was mortified! I'm diggin' on these responses. I could compile a book of these funny experiences!
Thank you, gypsylady for your cool stories!

Never a dull moment! I wouldn't have it any other way. Even after almost 4 yrs. the family still teases my husband about wearing women's clothing.

Kids seem to have a thing about markers. I was gone one night and when I came home my four-year-old son said "Look, I look like Brother Al." Brother Al was a man in our church that was covered in tatoos. My son had taken a permanent black marker and colored his arms from wrist to elbows. The sad thing about it was that he sat at my husbands feet while he did it. What was dad doing? Playing on the computer.

Classic! I wondered the same thing about my wife when our daughter was coloring on our computer screen. But I think, as parents, that we've all been there at one point or another when we weren't paying attention to our children when we clearly should have been! The computer is evil when it comes to neglecting your children. I try as hard as possible to only use the computer in small doses when the little one is still awake. Once she hits the sack, then I'm all over it! Thank you MJ for your Brother Al story - that's funny!

That's hilarious! Isn't it just marvelous what our little rugrats will do sometimes. That's what so great about them - they keep us constantly on our toes. Thank you, CK for your humorous story!

Well the craziest my son did was when he was about 3 years old. It happend when we stopped by his grandparens house, they have this big yard with pole barn. which you can park the right in front of it. I had this really old beater car that was a stick shift. Well, we both whent into the house and while I was talking to them, he got impassioned and when outside to play, I was still able to see him through the screen door. But low and behold I took my eyes off him for a sec, and he got into my car in the driverside. All of the sudden I hear my car turn on and started slowly heading for the pole barn. I came running outside trying to stop the car my pushing against it like superman. Well you can imagine that don't work, I just did not know what else to do at that second. Thankfully he only went about 6 Feet when the car bumped into the barn. No one got hurt or anything got damaged. But it scared the living daylights out of me and he still remembers to this day.

Wow! That's crazy and almost too scary to laugh about. A similar thing happened to my older brother before I was born. The story goes that my mom and dad had returned from grocery shopping and my brother Andy, about 2 at the time, climbed into the driver's seat of the car and knocked the car our of park. At the time, we lived on a hill and the car rolled down the hill...and get this...my brother fell out of the car and it ran over his head. No joke! Luckily given his age and a slightly more flexible noggin, he survived the ordeal with minor injuries. But I still rib him about it to this day! Thanks SK for the frightening tale. I'm glad that your son, like my brother, was unharmed!

My daughter and our former neighbor's daughter took dark purple craft paint and painted my outside window (the entire thing), as well as several other smears of it (even got the carpet!). Thank God it was latex craft paint and not oil-based or else it couldn't be removed!

I let my son draw in the paint program of my computer when he was 5. After 30 minutes, I got back on the computer and I realized he has deleted a lot of my files and they weren't in the Recyle Bin either. He also renamed some of the files with a bunch of letters that didn't spell anything out.
