Silly is anything foolish, absurd, ridiculous.
Gabs made a mistake (and I don't mind at all) and called me Cloudwalker. Now if I tried to walk on clouds, that would be rather silly, wouldn't it?
Soundly
Impressive
Long
Lasting
Yodels
Silly would be trying to paint a house with a child's little paint brush.
Silly would be trying to make the tide go back out when it is coming in.
Silly would be trying to shout a message to you instead of putting it here.
I really don't know. I'm too sensible.
You're right, Gabs. Fun!

Define silly
Well it is not silly throwing Snowballs at your Friends Window, clearing her desk with one sweep, winding her up and keeping her busy
It is silly to be good and not do those things being good is boring need something to keep me occupied (biiiiiiiiiig grin)

Everyone out there just ignore these suggestions! They could get you shoved into the boot of your car lolololol. Trust Gabs to give us all a laugh, now can we have some more definitions of silly please. By the way, just to save my windows, Gabs is 100% definitely, seriously NOT silly.

Yes, everyone out there, she really DOES have a big and innocent smile, but you can not take your eyes off her for a minute! You have been warned!

You have to try? It comes naturally to me! Except for the Father in Law of course, it would take a stick of dynamite to take the downturned look off his face lol. (They don't get this in Jamaica, do they????). Thak you for that concept, though, I will think about it.

Thank you for responding :-) I hope you laugh loudly and often, but what do you actually define as silly? It seems to be different for everybody.

Thank you for responding and explaining to me! I hope you are enjoying the discussions and that our different types of slang words do not cause you too much confusion. Yes, silly can mean a lot to laugh at, can't it? Thank you. :-)

well shellag, since im an indonesian, and im not using english as my primary language, then i ussually consider that silly is almost similiar with ridiculous.
silly = pandir, tolol, lucu (that's what my dictionaries said in indonesian)
oh ... about my post above ... just try to put words behind each letters of 'silly' ... that's how i describe silly ... silly is just like what i've done to the way i described silly for you ... *cheers*

oh no Marlyse, I can not agree it is silly to put your glasses in the fridge and then search for them in your pocket. You are not nearly as bad as I am. I lost mine and they turned up in the microwave - figure that lol. As to your son, he is only 13, wait until he is 17 lolololololol

My friend who was visitng tonight also loses her glasses often, so maybe we are not that silly Marlyse!
As to your son, I stand by my warning, by 17 he will be impossible but by the time he is 21 he will once again be your little angel :-)

Is that to fool somebody that you are really not knowing you are putting the milk into the lid, or really putting the milk into the lid?
My most stupid thing with milk is to forget to replace the lid and then take it from the fridge and spill it everywhere!
