My face seems to have gotten really dry lately, especially on my chin. I am not sure if it is the weather, or the fast that I just had a baby?! What do you use for your dry skin?

I have tried a lot of moisturizers but the best thing for my face is 1% hydrocortisone cream. It totally got rid of my dry skin. You should try it crystal8577. That is if it's really severe. Otherwise, you can use something like Cetaphil or Aveeno. They are pretty good.

If u have a dry skin you must have a moisturizer to hydrate it. Our face is like a flower or sand that need to water.

Hey there. When I lived in Cali, I had dry skin and now that we live in the desert, my skin is a little worse... So I am used to using lotion. I started using a cocoa butter/shea butter mix of lotion when I got pregnant and I have been using it ever since. My husband recently started using it since it is thick.. :) It definitely helps in our DRY weather. I even use it on my face because my whole body can get dry. :)

Thank you. Is there a particular brand that I should look for? I am tired of feeling like I have scales on my face lol.

Well my dad has dry skin around his nose (i'm not really sure why) but he uses regular lotion. My little sister has very sensitive skin and she has certain rashes. She uses an ointment perscribed to her. I don't think you have what my lil sis has. Drinking lots of water I think will help.

I wouldn't use regular lotion on your face. The skin on your face is more sensitive than the skin on other parts of your body. I'd purchase some lotion specifically for your face. You don't need to apply much of it, just a little bit daily so it should last you awhile.

I normally use Pond's cry skin cream which is made for your face. It just does not seem to be doing the job lately. I am about out, so I was wondering if someone could suggest something that was working for them.

It might be both for you - what with the weather and your hormones all out of sync. I slather on the anti-aging (LOL) cream at night. Putting creams on right after a shower will help as your pores are open more at that time. Maybe get a good scrubbing cream, and then some repair, or creams for extra-dry skin.

I have Psoriasis and sometimes get it on my face. Some of the topicals prescribed can thin the skin and should not be used on the face, so I have played around with several things. I have found the Avon Anew all in one adjusting lotion works best. It hydrates the dry areas, but no the oily ones. Since I have been using it I have not dry patches on my face.

my mom makes an incredible series of lotions and soaps all geared toward specific skin maladies, including dry skin, psoriasis, etc., So many people enjoyed her stuff that she started making it to sell in her own store on ebay. Her products are all 100% guaranteed. She has a lotion called "fairy's breath" with no additives and just the right thickness that it goes on smooth and hydrates your dry skin for hours. If you'd like to check her products out, you can here: http://stores.ebay.com/Bramble-Ice-Soaps-n-such
