I think you should consulting with the nutritionist so you will not make any mistake on your recipe for that boy

well, the heart 'shape' is perfect. anything can be turned into a cake if sugar is a problem, such as a huge heart shaped cookie or it could even be a heart shaped meatloaf which could be 'frosted' with mashed potatoes... just let your imagination go.

I think making a heart shaped cake is perfect. I also think the frosting should be a bright red. If your friend wants the cake to celebate 5 yrs. since the transplant, the heart shaped one would be perfect. Also the heart is universal for love.

I honestly think the heart cake is a great idea! What better way to celebrate a major milestone like that? I also think it should be done in red frosting. I bet he would appreciate it also being 18 and all, and knowing the long road he has come since the tranplant. I can't think of a better shaped cake to make in this situation. Enjoy!! :-)

How about an ice cream cake. All kids and adults alike love them. Both my kids and all my nephews want one every year for their birthdays. And my sister who's 26 demands one for xmas and her birthday.
