I've been invited into this sorority. Well, I think they're a bunch of great girls... But from what I've heard, when you join a sorority, the members have to beat you up, torture and humiliate you first.. Is it worth joining a sorority if the outcome is going home with a bruised face and a deflated ego?

lol.. I don't mean to laugh at your situation, but stereotypes are a hell of a thing. Being a memember of a sorority myself I'm going to tell you that it shouldn't happen the way you think that it will. I am sure that there will be a challenging intake process, but it won't be all what you stated. You have to know who you are and whos you are before you join a sorority, or it won't be worth it. Don't just join because you want to be a part of the "in" crowd. Do what's in your heart. A Sorority is a new family for life. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your intake process.

No , if that is what you have to endure to have a bunch of people like you then it is not worth it . You should be liked for you and not for what kind of crap you are willing to put up with . I have heard and watched programs where individuals were killed doing stuff like this .
