Unfortunately, i live in a country where in some places people slaughter dogs to eat them. We have laws protecting animals but eating dogs is so rampant in some places that they do not get scared of the law anymore. I find eating dogs very appalling, and it makes me ashamed of humanity. Why can't this people be satisfied with just eating pork, beef or chicken? Do they have to kill yet another specie and eat it and consider it to be normal? eating dogs is like betraying one of your companions and eating them. ugh. how to stop them?

I thought that Korea was the only place in the world that slaughtered dogs for food. I know that it is legal there and is considered to be a delicacy. I totally agree with you. The thought of eating a dog is downright disgusting. Dogs are companion animals; they are our friends. I know that different people have different customs, but I just think it's gross. I'm assuming that people in your country are doing this because they don't have money to buy beef or pork or chicken? Or is that meat even readily available? If they are doing this and blatantly disobeying the laws, it's up to the government to start enforcing the laws. One of the most important reasons for this is from a public health standpoint. Who knows what health conditions those dogs have, and what infections could spread to the public by eating them? The responsibility lies with the government, once again.

Slaughtering dogs in Korea is legal? Really? Well thank you for the useful information. Some people eat dogs in my country because of a lack of means, and some just eat it for the heck of it during kegger sessions. A week ago, some of this 'monsters' tried selling chunks of dog meat in one of the most peopled public market here but was stopped by the local police. These monsters knew that it is against the law to do that but still they persist. I have been wondering where the dogs'slaughter house is. And who is funding these monsters to do that. But now that you mentioned that Koreans eat dogs and the population of koreans are fast growing here, then i guess it's safe to assume that maybe they have something to do with this.
