How to increase reputation?

Hello there. Can anyone please tell me how to increase my reputation points? I got to see reputation points in others but i couldnt find anything in my page

You gain reputation point when another member rates your discussions, replies, and photos with a +. You also can lose repution points by getting a -. Once you reach a 100 rating (qualified post count) you will then be assigned a star based on your reputation.

when you reach 100 you can already see your star.
