I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on whether or not a college/university should be affiliated with a certain religion like Notre Dame being a Catholic college, or should a school promote all religions?

what don't you agree with...that a school could be affiliated with a religion as long as government doesn't give private money or what.

I think a religious school is fine as long as the government doesn't give them money or special treatment.

That's a good approach to the idea, do you think it should be a public univeristy or Private

As long as they aren't receiving government money (or, if they are receiving government money and aren't discriminating based on religion) I don't see any problem with it.

Yes, I think that as long as there's no discrimination based on religion. And as long as you're not required to take some amount of study within that religion or something silly like that. I don't think that a school should be "promoting" ANY religion. If, however, a religious organization is sponsoring that offering of education, they deserve to have credit for that. Aloha!
