I think the world have achieved a great feet after the 2nd world war as far as maintaining world peace is concerned. Still, I think violence and striving to become the best over other is in human nature and that wont change. Hence, I don't think there could be world peace for a long time. I hope I am wrong!

I think the answer to your qeustion is really very hard to achieve..there used to be a time when we all had hardly heard about terrorism and stuff like that..but today the term terrorrism and the acts of terrorrists have become so immense that it is very hard to lead a peaceful life in this world...and to add to the situations the competition among the world powers to dominate among themselves has also proven to shake the backbone of world peace..
We all know that many world peace organisations like UNO are still existing in the world when all these happen, but according to me ,i think they all re dummies and there is nothing much they can do about this in this world..All that they can do is just call up meetings saying "SUPRESS TERRORRISM"..and they all will defenetly go in vain ..
Atleast they can have a more stubborn decision over other international issues related to other sensitive issues like US domination and their so called unwanted and unacceptable supemacies..
ANy way if these world peace organisations have a solid stand on their agendas and policies then may be after long hard fights ,the world peace be back..
