A question for Muslims and Jews

How do you feel about each other? I know how our media tell us that you feel about each other. But I also know that in spite of what we hear about who hates whom, it is often possible for people to dislike the actions of a country's government without hating its citizens. Does the animosity run too deep in this case for that to be possible or are we getting a distorted view of how people really feel?

Jews? Nothing. Why should we judge based on race, even Islam taught that. Jews that drove the Palestinian away from their home, killed their women and kids? That's intoleratable, heartless that are not worthy to be called human. But I'm sure bad seeds exist in every community. There are good Jews are bad Jews, just as there are good Muslims and bad Muslims. Oh, forgot to tell you, I'm a Muslim. ;)

Thank you so much for replying. I have to say I'm not at all surprised by your response. What we see on the news seems to lead people to think that all Muslims hate all Jews and I just have a hard time believing that. So thanks for helping to clear up a misconception.

Yes, I read it. There are different perspectives on the issue. It would be helpful if people would approach it by seeing where everyone is coming from rather than assuming that their own biased view is the only one.

Things -- even pieces of land -- change hands. Sometimes legitimately, and sometimes not legitimately. But once the change has been made, the responsible thing to do is to find a way to make things workable for those who are living now. Both sides. Native Americans had their land taken from them by Europeans. Should we give it back? Let me guess... that's "different."

ok, I have absolutley nothing against jews in general. I have a class mate that is jew and we ussually kid about it and he jokes about me being a palestinian. No offence taken. But when he one day said that he was a zionist I felt that I just couldnt be in the same room as him. He said taht he was a zionist as a joke yet I took it very offencely. This proves that I ahve nothing against jews but against zionists I have a grudge!

Islamonline.org used to have a great section entitled "Jews as depicted in the Quran" that detailed how they were dirty, they lied, they couldn't be trusted, they were cheap, etc, etc. I would post it, but they appear to have taken it down, I wonder why.... And that is a moderate site!

I just with Muslims and Jews would come together so that another generation doesn't have to live through the violence that has plagued the region for so long. Could you imagine fussing and fighting with your neigbors for over 50 years? It's rediculous. Maybe both sides with come to a reasonable conclusion to this dispute. I sure hope so. Lloyd

It's very funny to see how things get simplified into an us versus them situation. If only there was a passage in the Torah that said "Kill the Muslims" and a passage in the Koran that said "Kill the Jews' we'd all be living in a happier world of moviedome. Jews (as in the original Semites) and Arabs are the children of Abraham. In terms of their culture, you probably wouldn't be able to find a more similar group of people. Both don't eat pork and can only things prepared in a Kosher or Halal manner. One Muslim I know, once remarked, "When a Jew offers food, you know it's clean" Both greet you by wishing you peace - Jews tell you Shalom, Muslims tell you Salaam. Anyway, let's try and get away from the 'Real-Estate' game in the Middle East. When you take Israel out of the debate, the Semitic people get along fabulously. Just look at the way Citibank works - you had Prince Alwaleed of Saudi Arabia backing Sandy Weil to the hilt. The issue of Jewish-Islam or Jewish-Arab relations runs alot deeper than unthinking Fundimentalist Christians would have us believe. It's alot deeper than the modern state of Israel founded in 1948

It is amazing how similiar these two adversaries really are. The disagreement is all about the real estate. Lloyd

Two of the people on here that have posted the most claim to be christians so since they feel that its ok that they voice their opinions without being the ones who are being asked I guess its ok if I put my two cents in. I think when you blindly adhere to one position than you really loose track of being humane or being subjective to the truth about situations. I ran across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFfsszNeq3w I hope that this link works since I can not cut and paste but if it doesnt you can find it by searching "muslims are jew-haters(naawwt)". Are there mulsims that practice hate of course just like there are christians and jewish people. So I guess what I am saying is is it any worse to be preach violence than to use bulldozer to knock over doctors homes and kill peace workers and drop bombs on children and civilians. Ultimately one will lead to the other but if you have reached the point of spreding violence its because you have forgotten that all humans generally want the same things in life. You should strive to remember that instead of spreading more animosity through words or violence.

I don't have any problem with normal Jews, Jews and Christians are regarded in the same way. We don't have countable Jews in our country, there are some Synagogues in our Sate of India. I any body is there in my native or in my work place I will consider them as any others. Some of the people like in Aaudi Arabia may be hating, some Saudi people even don't know what love is, it's their own culture. This hate statements are mainly propagated by ani-Muslims to get profit by divide and rule theory. Thanks.
