On my weekly outing to procure sustenance, I discovered a sale on key limes. I adore key lime. So, being the impulse buyer that I am, I now find myself in possession of ten key limes. They're nestled together in my fridge, eagerly awaiting making my taste buds leap for joy.
The problem? I have no idea what to do with them.
So lend me your key lime recipes, fellow kitchen fanciers of Mylot! Give me some suggestions! Share with me your culinary wisdom!

Key lime pie! Or key lime meringue cookies. Tequila lime chicken. Maybe tabouli with lime instead of lemon? Or go the simple route and buy some Corona...

Well, if you don't end up cooking all of them, cut them up and put them in your garbage disposal. It will make it smell really good ;)

I have never liked lime, to me it always tastes like soap. The only thing I can think of is key lime pie.
Or you can have a party and invite us all over, and use the lime in drinks.

You could make key lime pie or use it in place of lemons and make limeade. You could also put it on fish in place of lemon.

Mmmm lime... fabulous flavor! I have a recipe for a custard dessert that is basically like having the filling from key lime pie, without the crust. It would use 6-8 of those 10 limes anyway ;)
Key Lime Pots de Creme
4 large or extra large egg yolks
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh key lime juice (approximately 6 to 8 limes)
2 teaspoons grated lime peel, green portion only
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Preheat the oven to 325F. Beat the egg yolks with an electric mixer until they are thick and turn to a light yellow. Add the can of condensed milk. Using the mixer on low, add in half of the lime juice. Once fully mixed, add the other half of the juice and mix just until blended. Stir in the grated lime peel by hand.
Put six 1/2-cup ramekins in a deep baking dish. Divide the lime mixture evenly between them. Pour hot tap water into the baking dish so that it comes within 1/2 inch of the top of the pots. Cover the dish with foil. Bake until the custards are just set in the centers, approximately 15 minutes. Do not overbake. Remove the dish from the oven and carefully remove pots from the water. Cover each dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled and set, at least 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
Garnish with whipped cream when serving, if desired.

I don't have any recipes, but if you like iced tea, the juice from key limes is excellent in iced tea. Makes me wish I had some key limes right now. :)
