did someone here see the movie entitled the beautiful mind?

I have this film on dvd and I really do recommend it. Beware though, it's a very long film (I seem to think it's about 2 and a half hours long). A Beautiful Mind is inspired by John Nash, a maths scholar who won a pretigious award. It follws Nash through his time at University and offers glimspses of the world as he sees it, and believe me, all is not as it seems in Nash's world. It's a fascinating film which draws together the aspects of two worlds, genius and insanity, in one character. I'd recommend watching it, but you have to be in the mood for a more 'serious' film, don't watch it when your in a chick-flick/comedy mood. Hope that helps.

Basically, this is a story of great mathematician who has a paranoid schizophrenia. I've seen this movie twice and I really loved it. It's really amazing how, even a genius like Nash had imaginary friends since college that he grew up with until his adult age without even realizing that they never grow old same as him. Up to the point and creating new imaginary people in the story. Remember the guy who asked him to trace codes from the magazines and send it over to an abandoned mansion. Then later on he learned that everything he thought of were just mere products of his imagination. Paranoid schizophrenia is a type of schizophrenia wherein a person's thougths, hallucination, delusion and illusions fall on one theme only. This goes this way with John Nash in this movie. painful though that it will never heal anymore and it will be always with him but it's amazing how his wife stood by him and tried to make sure that true love can never go wrong. This is one of my favorite movies.

I don't know anyone who seen this movie that didn't like it. How many movies can you say that about.

Yeah It is a very good movies! I like it very much. Its been ages since I watched it so I kind of forgot what the story really is. It is about some old guy that supposed to be very smart, maybe too smart for his own good, but he has some mental problems. He keep seeing secret codes that kind of things, and trying to solve it. He is seeing many things such as agency, people who wants to kill him, etc2. But in the ends it turns out that it is all only in his mind, in reality he is just sitting or something..? You should watch it :) Its a good movie

Two thumbs up for that movie. I can't recall what exactly the year I watched it but it is a Great movie. The movie stars Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. It is a love story that give emphasis on a mental illness. I think it won Best Picture. The film is about a genius mathematician and his debilatating mental illnes, and the fine line between the two. This movie show us the joys and terrors of seeing things that others can't.
