Practices to make a good self taught guitarist!!!

Hi I am a self taught guitarist and still learning things on my own. I have been playing for around 6 years now and I take help from all resources avaialable in the internet. For example, PDFs, websites, Video tutorials collected from p2p softwares, guitar softwares like guitar proetc. However, I am yet to learn theory part of it and I don't know how to read staff notation. I usually play in bits and peices and don't play songs as a whole. I am majorly into lead guitar. I sometimes feel that my repertoire is too small and if I am asked to play in front of a gathering, I won't be able to continue for long. However, skillwise, I am good and I pick up things fast. My question is, how shall I improvise my mode of practice and how much should I give in for theoritical studies? Would be glad to have some suggestions on songs having good blend of quality chords and riffs at the same time...
