Does anyone else DETEST skim milk?

I don't see the sense in drinking it myself. I'd rather drink nothing. It's like drinking water. I can enjoy 2% but nothing lower! I understand the reasoning for lower fat milk consumption.. but sheesh.. personally would just go for a glass of water!

All we drink is skim milk. Once you get used to it, it's not too bad. I have been drinking skim milk for so long that I cannot stand to drink anything else. My mother-in-law used to only have 2% at her house and I would literally have to choke it down if I had a glass. So... no I do not detest skim milk.

It's like that in our house too! We went from 2%, down to 1% and then to skim. Now that we've adjusted to skim, everything else tastes too thick. My mom used to have whole milk at her house and my kids couldn't drink it. I can use a bit in coffee or whatever... but I couldn't drink a whole glass. It's probably odd but we find skim milk gets colder (or tastes colder?) and we like that about it. Friends of mine call it "blue milk" due to it not having the "full fat white color" and they won't touch it LOL I always have a small container of higher fat milk or coffee cream in the fridge if we're having company since skim milk isn't for everyone ;)

Personally I detest all milk. I hate the way that it coats my throat and I think it's so disgusting! I'm trying really hard to not let my kids know how much I hate it so that when they grow up they will drink it. I know it's really healthy, but I just can't stand it. So I eat a lot of other dairy products to make up for it!

I'm not a huge milk fan myself... although I must admit that we have Deans Strawberry and Ultimate Chocolate that is to DIE for! I prefer to get my 'dairy' from cheese.. my biggest downfall when it comes to "fattening" and chocolate.. ok, maybe THAT's my biggest downfall! LOL And I love yogurt.

I think it's one of those things you really have to get used to. I used to feel the way you do. I've been drinking skim milk for years now though. Now if I drink regular milk it tastes like liquid lard.

Me too! We drink 2% here, but I'm honestly not a big milk drinker any more, except on cereal. My kids love milk, so we go through a half gallon every other day. The only time I really love milk is to dunk my cookies in! lol! And since I'm on a diet right now, I don't do any dunking, so I don't drink milk!

I love skim milk very much and drink that and water more than any other beverage out there. Skim milk is the healthiest of the various kinds of milks and it tastes good to me. Water is great to me as well. I have had both for the longest time and is the healthiest part of my food and drink intake. Now, I need to work on other parts to keep my blood sugar level down.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeee. I neither like to drink milk nor skim milk. I do n't wanna say anything about milk bcuz its a great blessing of God but i avoided to drink it but drinking it now but after mixing oval tine in it. I do n't drink it in its pure form and i never tasted skim milk in my life and my brothers too avoid to taste it. I am sure that i'll vomit if i'll drink skim milk.

Now I like the Fat Free milk which is different from Skim milk. It's very good. I grew up on 1% though and was used to that. Whole milk had a tendency to be too rich after having the other most of my life. It tasted more like cream to me. Of course I'm not supposed to be drinking milk, allergic, but now and then I do have some.

I really think it's an acquired taste. I used to drink only 2% milk, as did my husband. In an effort to reduce the fats in our diet, I switched to skim. At first, my husband would have nothing to do with it, but he gradually got used to it and doesn't mind it now.
I've never been a person who could sit down and drink a glass of milk, I only like it flavored or in foods. Maybe that's why it was easier for me to switch.
