i do not think that there is any person who even knows 50% of the friends in his/her list

I've seen this thing most frequently that almost none of us know about them. Tell me if you know any one of them???? If yes them how much of the percentage??

I don't know them all yet but that takes time. The initial choosing of friends for me was finding members that have good discussions that are more than a one liner. After choosing friends I follow their posts and try to learn more about them through their discussions. I have actually removed some friends based on the way their discussions go. But I would have to say that most of my friends I don't really know at all.

well,to say the truth I hardly know the people in my friends list.I just know a little about one of them.After that I don't know anyone else that well.
