Umm... I thought I had it. Now what? What do you do when the words don't flow?

Dear tendaheart, You are lucky! Will you please say in what way you make use of your lyrics? For, I too write lyrics in my mother tongue and some in English also. But I don't find a way to make use of them - ie., I don't find a let out for my lyrics. Many have commented that my lines are very good and one even commented that I'm a lighted lamp placed inside a closed vessel, let the light come to the light, why don't you publish your works. But how I don't know. See, I'm a woman and a woman has some limitations in these fields. The lyrics just remain in the darkness of my diary pages. About your problem -- this is not a problem of yours alone, All creative minds suffer this! As a solution I suggest this - don't rush out in a hurry to get a pen and paper, instead repeat the idea or lines again and again until it sticks on to your mind. The tension about forgetting itself may be a cause for forgetting. I too get lines while I'm cooking, bathing etc. I just repeat them as far as possible. Sometimes the lines may go, but many a times they return. Good Luck next time!!!

I write short stories and stuff on that lines and have the same problem. I could be driving and then come up with an idea and the people that needed to be in it the plot and all but couldn't write it while driving and by the time I could write would forget most of it. What I now have is a small tape recorder that fits in the palm of my hand. Digital doesn't use tapes so don't have to deal with that. Could get one of those at walmart. I love it!

well sometimes we just can't do nothing bout it. i usually thought for a whole verse and then i just write whatever i remember..even if it just 2 lines long.
