don't you feel so?? or at least private from the people who are not in our friend's list??

i have mixed feelings on that one. the fun part about orkut is that people can read each others scraps. However i feel orkut should provide an option by which it is possible to send personal messages to friends which cannot be seen by others.
Anyway if u really want to send a message which no one else can c, u can consider email. everyones e-mail address is mentioned in their details

if we have the option of the email, then why to go for the scraps. they are useless

but what if some one sends me a scrap and i don't want it to be visible to every body and with that, i don't want to delete it.
And by the way, the message sending and receiving is not too fast as the scraps.

yes i think that you are right.
But be clear you want that the scraps must be private or they should be visible to your friends.

yaaaa....i strongly feel scraps should be made private as it spoils the privacy which should be provided by orkut.....i don't like that anyone can read our scraps......esp..if he/she is not my frnd......

yes, even I feel that the scraps should be made private why do you want some personal scraps to be seen by others. This is one thing which can be seriously taken care of by the moderators of the site. Till now they have done a fantastic job and they are continuously developing things which they feel are important for the site. Like the reply option which we get now below the scrap is a very handy tool. Previously it was very difficult to reply as we have two go-to the person's profile and then select scrapbook and then we have to reply but now thinks simplified and we can easily in reply to them and this saves a lot of time
