Well, I must say that I've been chatting and ircing for a few years now and I believe conversing with people are a good deal of improving your grammar. As they said, practice makes perfect (and no, my grammar is still far from perfect). hehehe :)

I see. But i think my friend if you conversing using a wrong grammar so how can you be corrected? Or there is a saying that practice makes perfect, but i think i don't believe in that kind of sentence because if you are practicing using a wrong kind of tech, how will you improve that? So i think my friend, conversation, may be one of the means, but not only the way to develop my writting skills. More power to you my friend.

I agree with nvtellan, practice makes perfect. The best way to improve is to have constant conversations and in regard to writing, when someone writes something to you, you can see how they are writing and then you will be able to see your own mistakes. Learning from reading material is fine but practice is the best way to better your speaking and writing skills. I am sure if you do alot of writing you will improve your writing skills too. Some people will be offended if you correct them. So if you write something and you think it is incorrect, just ask the person to correct you.

How do you want to improve your writing? Do you mean content, material wise, english in general, your style, typing speed? Depending on what you want to improve, you will need to do something different. Let me know more specifically you want to improve and I'll try to help you the best I can.

While I do not know about available software(I admit to being computer illiterate),I do know that the more you practise something, the better you become at it.So keep on typing, reading and practising.

Wrting software ? are u kidding ? If you want to improve your writing than u need to purchase writing notebooks like kids of school have in their early classes, but if u r talking about writing skills on content wise, then there is nothing gooder than effective business communication

I think a software is not the answer. Writing is not like History that you could memorize or Math that you could use the same formulas again and again for different variables. Writing is an art, and developing an art takes a long time. Read a lot. Practice. Learn from others. Keep a journal. Be in touch with you emotions and feel free to write them down.

hmm, I have ne er found a software that improves my writing... I have done a lot of reading of books (nonfiction and fiction) and takena couple classes at a community college to improve my skills... I think software will just teach you the basic, which wont be as beneficial as an actualy class

I think one of the best ways to improve your writing is to workshop with other writers and really take their constructive criticism into account. I've been workshopping actively for about six years now and it's made a huge difference. I also run a site for writers to workshop their stuff with other writers and non-writers for feedback, etc., and that's made a huge difference in all the members writing.
