Earlier this month a woman died in a radio contest trying to win a nintendo wii. The radio contest 'hold you wee for a wii' involved contestants drinking large amounts of water without going to the toilet and one of the contestants died of water intoxication! What are your thoughts on this?

OMG that is absolutely terrible, it would be funny if it was so true! Mind you in Japanese gameshows their competitions range from the sublime to the utter ridiculous challenges to win, from sitting in tubs of snakes to eating various bits of animals! But going back to the UK, the things people will do for money and prizes. Her poor family, what a terrible way to go. I blame the radio station, I wonder if her family will now be trying to sue the radio station?

My initial reaction was to laugh at how ridiculous it is but i was also utterly shocked at the same time. Why would the radio station hold a contest like this?? I mean the contestants are silly enough to participate but when they think they might win something they think more about hat than any dangers. The poor woman was probably trying to win it for her son or something. There was another one i heard about a while ago where a girl got injured in a radio contest where the person to sit on a block of ice the longest won something.
