Linux or. Windows?

I'm using Windows just because of my winmodem, but my preferred is Linux. It's beautiful, secure, stable, the only single problem, for me, is the lack of native SIMPLE support for winmodems, you always have to do many things and it's not assured that it'll work, that's the only reason for me to still use windows... I have tried to keep windows just for the internet and using linux for everything else, but I just get tired of rebooting my pc to change the OS... :P Linux is getting more and more user friendly in every newer distro, especially for simple tasks as editing/creating texts and such, and you don't need to pay for support as long as you can connect to the internet, there are HUNDREDS, or even thousands of forums around just for that! The best of everything, it's FREE (not just in cost terms!)!!!

If I want to play videogames or a particular software, I use windows. For internet, music, messenger and other I prefer Linux.

I have never tried Linux before. I believe most people also havent and therefore will also say that they prefer Windows. Anyways, I haven't heard much about Linux as opposed to Windows. Actually, if I could choose neither, I would go for OS X for Mac, the security is amazing!

Linux is faster, more efficient, and you can get paid if you learn how to use it well enough. Plus it's more user-friendly for C++ and C applications. Although you might not be able to game 24/7, 365, it would still be fun.
