What are some of the things that you love to do wuth your family in the summer time?? Mine is to take all the kids to the creek. We swim, tube, cook out and walk the trails and they absolutely love it. Its a fun time and we all can enjoy something there.

Yes, I love camping too, a lot of hiking over the creek. And swimming under the sun, cooking out and spending nights in the tent. These are the things I love to do during summer with my family.

The summertime for me is actually my little vacation, my son visits his grandparents and great grand parents, uncles etc for the entire summer.
In July, we normally all have a Family Reunion and have a huge picnic...
Other than that, mommy is doing some traveling, working, saving money for the next school year until my lil pride and joy comes back home and I have to deprogram him from all the grandparent habits they let him get away with...lol

My fun times in the summer are now spent entertaining the grandkids. We have a blowup pool in our backyard and the kids will spend hours splashing around in it on those hot summer days. When they are cooled off they head for the sandbox to play. We venture to the wooded area around our home to find berries to pick.

We're lucky enough to live on the lake so we can enjoy swimming and beaching in general. I love to have small campfires in a california stove out back, toast marshmallows and just chill with my kids too. Memories like these are awesome.

I like to go to a park for a picnic with family and friend. It become more enjoyable if the park is nearby lake. You can do some fishing and boating too. I love those activities of summer.

On sunny days we'd spend a lot of our time at the beach. It's just half an hour's drive from us. We get there early in the morning, put up our small "fishing" shelter type tent and our wind breaker. Then we relax. We'll usually bring a packed lunch so that we can have a picnic. I bring a book and the kids play with the sand. Absolute bliss!
On days that aren't so good we either play board games in the house, or we go to our favourite book shop. We're able to read some of the books while we order coffee, and as it's during the day, it's usually very quiet and we can stay as long as we like.

I would agree with you that this could possibly be about the most fun that you can have in the summer especially when it is nice and hot out!! I also enjoy just a day at the park with them it is satisfying enough for me to just watch them play!!!!

Going to the lake is a big part of our summer fun, for one it is affordable. Where else can you take 5 kids, eat, have a blast for an entire day for 20 bucks or less. We head to the lake which is only 2 miles away from our home at least once a week with a cooler of drinks and eats it is great summer fun. We also try and do a trip to the zoo at least once a summer and the county fair.

We tend to do things as a family often. We love to go to the "nature farm". It has all sorts of wild animals kept in their habbitat. We love to hike and picnic. We are big into tent camping. We enjoy scripture reading together and just hanging out. Board games are the norm at night as is star gazing. There are just so many things to do as a family that does not cost anything and will strenthen our relationships as a family.

When in the summer, we like to leave Orlando and hit the beaches. My girls love looking for shells and the boys love riding the quads. All the attractions are usually very crowded.
