It depends on what kind of mlm do you refer to. As another industry all over the world, there are good mlm and bad mlm. You could view it according to their business practice. How long they have maintain their business. What about compensation plan. Is the product worth it or not. So many things to be considered... Assume that you want to join mlm company, then you should have an good enterprenuership spirit. Because once you joined the company your status is independent contractor, not an employee. If not, you'll only last no more than 3 month there, and because you didn't make any money you will felt being scammed and spread the bad mouth about MLM like so many others have done. On average you wouldn't make enough money on the first year, but if you are persistent and smart enough, you will gain a sum of money larger than your first 24 month earning combined. Before joining any mlm program, please make some due diligence first to make sure that the company is suitable for you. cheers

MLM is something that would earn you a lot of money IF it's the right business for you. However, it did not work out for me, because I don't have the right personality for it. It's like any business or profession...not everybody can be MLMers, in the same way that not everybody can be lawyers, doctors, priests, or any of the huge number of professions out there.

We have been marketing herbs and supplements from a company that has been in business for over 30 years. We have been personally using products from this company for about 12 years, and have only just recently, been doing the business for ten months now. In ten months, we have gone from zero to about $3000/month in commissions. So, it can be done. MLM is like any other business. You have to commit yourself to doing it, persist in doing it, do it everyday, and talk to as many people as you can. This is not rocket science, anyone can do it, if they have the vision. That is one thing about MLM, anyone can do it. You don't need any special skills, or knowledge, you learn as you go. It's your mindset that counts. Just pick a good company ( due diligence )with products that you personally like, make a reasonable, achievable business plan, and the GO FOR IT ! The other thing that is very important in MLM, is to have an upline that will help you get started. If your direct upline isn't helping you enough, go upline further, 'til you can find someone who will commit to helping you succeed. We had to do that.
