Can you imagine digging out after having 74 inches of snow? I guess that's more then they usually get in an entire year! People have to shovel their roofs because the water is leaking in so bad that there carpets are being destroyed! I live in the midwest and can't remember ever having more then a few feet of snow, and not in one snowfall!
What do you think? Do you like snow? Would you be prepared for something like this? I like it cold ... anything over 50 degrees is too hot for me, but this is a little much!

6 ft 2 inches of snow! Wow! That is just shy of a foot taller than me! Totally awesome!!! OK...probably not for those in it and having to shovel off their roofs and getting their carpets ruined. But I just love the snow and something extreme like this is just up my alley!
I sure hope those people are well stocked on supplies!
Wow! I have been saying for a long time that I have been wanting to move to Alaska...but that much snow...I really missed out!!!

Well, I would not see a point of sliding out the second story window to dig out my car because I seriously doubt that the roads would be cleared. Could you imagine where that snow would be pushed to with that much in the roads? LOL
I think it would be best to stay inside. :) But it would be really hard to try to convince my kids that they could NOT go out and play in it! ha ha

Yay, that would be very hard to keep your kids inside.
They would be thinking how much fun taht would be and not even care that they could not feel their nose, or toes anymore!! That would be awesome just to get 17 inches....and it would be amazing to get 74!! Like I have already said, WOW! :D

WOW! I would love to live their.
I love the snow and I would have a blast playing in 74 inches of snow. That would be awesome!
The only thing that I don't think that I would like is the water from the snow on the roofs leaking on carpets or couches. That would be a mess! But, I would love to get on top of the roof and shovel the snow off.
:DD WOW!

This is insane! I read that it would take 100 men to work 10 hour shifts 6 days a week TWO MONTHS to clear away all of that snow! That is a lot of snow! I think that there's a part of me that would find this fun, like if everything shuts down and there are families having huge snowball fights and can you imagine the size of a snowman you could make with all of that snow??? Then the reality part of me sets in and say, how in the world would I find my kiddos if they sunk in? The tallest one is like 3 and a half feet tall!
Well, any way I'm glad it's in Alaska and not here! They can have it, there's plenty that you can do in 4-5 inches of snow without it entirely interupting life and destroying the carpet! :)

I know that a lot of people are experiencing warmer then normal conditions this winter, but this story kind of laughs in the face of global warming! LOL!
